A few things
before you wish.

Christmas wishlist questions, answered.

How do I make a Christmas wishlist?

Create a free GiftList account, make a Christmas wishlist, and add gifts from the stores you like. Include useful details such as sizes or colors, then share your list with friends and family.

Can I add gifts from different stores?

Yes. Add a product link to your list, or enter a gift manually. You can also use the GiftList browser extension or the app’s in-app browser. Check the saved details so your list shows the right item, size and color.

Do friends and family need an account?

You need a free account to create and manage a wishlist. Gift-givers can view an accessible shared list and reserve a gift without creating an account. Passwords and other access settings still apply.

How do reservations help avoid duplicate gifts?

Gift-givers can reserve a gift to let other shoppers know it is covered. Reservation information stays hidden from the recipient until revealed. Reservations help people coordinate; they cannot guarantee that nobody buys the same gift elsewhere.

Can I make a Christmas wishlist for my child?

Yes. You can create separate gift lists for your children from your account and share the relevant list with friends and family. Give each list a clear name and add details such as sizes to help people choose.

Is the Christmas list maker free?

Creating, managing and sharing a GiftList wishlist is free. Gifts are purchased separately from retailers. If you use cash funds or group gifting, fees from the external payment provider may apply.

Can I include a cash fund or a bigger gift?

Yes. Cash funds and group gifting let people contribute toward a goal or gift using supported external payment methods. GiftList records contributions; it does not process or verify the external payment.

Can I use my wishlist for Secret Santa?

Yes. If you join a GiftList Secret Santa exchange, you can link your wishlist so the person who draws your name has gift ideas. Creating a wishlist does not automatically create or join an exchange.

Less “anything’s fine.”
More “exactly what I wanted.”
